Bahrain's economy to record 2.7 percent expansion in 2020

(MENAFN) According to the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Bahrain's economy is estimated to make a 2.7 percent increase in 2020 caused by a growth in the non-oil sector which is also expected to expand 3.1 percent.

By 2022, the amount of visitors to Bahrain will increase from 7 to 15 million.

Acting director of studies and research at the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat) Omar al-Ubaydli estimated that oil prices will climb in 2020.

An increase in oil prices will reflect positively on all sectors and the tourism sector is estimated to keep on getting better because of the effectiveness of Bahrain's strategic tourism plan, which contributed to attracting tourists from all over the world, and cut the previous reliance on Gulf tourists, as said by Ubaydli.
