(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, January 14 (Petra) -- The Jordan Insurance Federation (JIF), Tuesday, signed a cooperation agreement with its Palestinian peer to share with the Palestinians Jordan's experience in the field of issuing mandatory insurance documents and the mechanism of work of the Jordanian unified office for insurance.
The agreement, signed by Chairman of the JIF Board of Directors, Majed Smeirat, and Chairman of the Palestine Insurance Federation (PIF), Anwer Shanti, seeks to enhance joint cooperation between the two parties and draw on the experiences of the two countries in the field of strategic planning by examining plans, programs and projects in the fields of insurance and reinsurance.
The two sides underscored the importance of cooperation on laws and legislations regulating insurance business in both countries, and the development of these legislations to serve the insurance industry.
The agreement grants representatives of insurance and reinsurance companies in the two countries special treatment in terms of participation fees, and grants incentive discounts to participants from both countries to enhance attendance at conferences, seminars, training programs, and workshops.
