(MENAFN)A large scale anti terrorism operation was carried out by the Iraqi counter terrorism service in cooperation with the U.S. led coalition aircraft on Sunday which has resulted in the death of 3 IS activists.Mohammed al-Bazi from the provincial police said that the operation took place in the mountains of Makhoul and Khanouga, the areas between the towns of Baiji and al-Shirqat in the northern part of the province.In the operation, the CTS troops killed 3 IS terrorists and destroyed areas of IS tunnels and hideouts as well as apprehending various weapons and ammunition.
