Israeli soldiers arrest 23 Palestinians during predawn attacks

(MENAFN) Israeli soldiers detained as many as 23 Palestinians during conducting predawn attacks across the occupied West Bank, according to the military on Thursday.

A military statement emphasized that the persons were detained for "suspected involvement in popular terror activities", without explaining the nature of these suspected activities.

Israeli soldiers usually conduct detention campaigns across the West Bank - including occupied East Jerusalem - under the excuse of searching for "wanted" Palestinians.

Nearly 5,700 Palestinians are now suffering in Israeli arrest centers, according to Palestinian statistics.
