(MENAFN) Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) Gao Feng revealed Russia to have witnessed a 4.5 percent boost in its bilateral trade with China from January to August 2019.
Bilateral trade between Russia and China stood at USD70.59 billion during the eight-month period to reflect continuous and steady growth in relations between the two countries.
Direct investment of China in Russia registered a 13 percent surge from January to July compared to a year earlier to cover fields including energy and agriculture.
Feng added that both countries are looking to create a joint sci-tech innovation fund with a purpose to back investment and collaboration.€ƒ
