Finland media reported that a driver was killed in a car acceleration race in southeastern Finland, Lappeenranta on Sunday, according to Xinhua.
The race took place at the airport of Lappeenranta by local aeronautical club.
News agencies said that the driver has lost control of the automobile when going at a speed over 300 km/h on the 2.5 km runway.
The deceased is said to be a man from Helsinki, his nationality was no revealed.
