Afghanistan- Issues on Strengthening Strategic Cooperation with EU Discussed in Kazakhstan


(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) NUR-SULTAN -President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and EU Special Representative forCentral Asia Peter Burian have discussed a wide range of issues onstrengthening strategic cooperation between Kazakhstan and EU within theframework of Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement and in the light ofthe new EU Strategy on Central Asia, Trend reports with reference to the pressoffice of the president.
The discussiontook place during the bilateral meeting in Kazakhstan.
'Kazakhstanconsiders important the development of comprehensive and multidimensionalcooperation with European Union, which is the main foreign economic andinvestments partner of our country, Tokayev said.
Tokayev alsoexpressed confidence that frank and trusted dialogue with the new leadership ofEU will support further activation of the political and economic cooperation ofthe parties.
'The EU is verysupportive of Kazakhstan's reforms and modernization processes and appreciatesits commitment to regional cooperation and international engagement, includingwith Syria, Iran and Afghanistan. (Trend)
