Wife Of Dubai Ruler Sheikh Maktoum Flees To UK


(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) ABU DHABI — Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's sixth wife has fled the Emirate with the couple's two children and 31 million pounds (approximately $39 mn). Princess of Jordan, Haya Bint al Hussein is currently residing at a secret location in UK and asking for divorce.

CEO of the support group Detained in Dubai, Radha Stirling has confirmed of reports of the princess seeking asylum. Stirling said, 'Whenever someone applies for political asylum, obviously, it is because their lives are in danger, and because they have suffered severe abuses and violations of their human rights.'

Angered by the event, Sheikh Maktoum has said, 'go to who you have been busy with.'

The news comes a year after the Sheikh's daughter from another wife, Princess Latifa tried to escape Dubai, stating abuse at the hands of her father. She fled across the border to Oman with the help of a friend, before boarding a boat to meet French national Herve Jaubert. As of December 2018, Princess Latifa is living in Ireland.
