Over 100 traffic officers punished for issuing citations against Kuwaitis and expats

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, June 17: More than 100 officers and non-commissioned officers working for the General Traffic Department were summoned and interrogated in 2018 after receiving complaints that the men in uniform had issued arbitrary citations against citizens and expatriates, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The sources pointed out the investigations showed a number of complaints were malicious. However, the suspect officers have been punished for misuse of power after investigations with them disclosed they had violated the law and writing down the traffic citations arbitrarily.
