French Experts Loyal to the Project Lebanon Trade Show

(MENAFN- UBIFRANCE) United Arab Emirates- June 16, 2019, Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy, will be organizing its eleventh France Pavilion at the Project Lebanon trade fair from June 18 - 21, 2019 in Beirut. This trade fair is the sole international event in Lebanon in the construction, building, materials and equipment sector. The French Pavilion will enjoy very good visibility thanks to a Premium location at the trade fair entrance. Ten French exhibitors will be presenting their innovative products, technologies and know-how to local building industry professionals.

The French construction/finishing work industry has several undeniable strengths

- With a highly fragmented network of 392,000 companies and sales of €135 billion in 2017, the industry has one or more global leaders in most of its component sectors: VINCI, EIFFAGE, BOUYGUES and SPIE, to name but a few.

- France boasts a highly diverse offering when it comes to the building trades, with companies of all sizes providing structural engineering and finishing work services (carpentry, roofing, insulation, sanitation, air-conditioning, smoke detectors, etc.) and interior fittings (wall and floor coverings, luxury tapware, home automation, etc.).

- Innovation is a hallmark of French companies: new and biosourced building materials, wooden construction driven by ecological considerations, and smart building (BIM modeling, home automation, smart meters, energy optimization tools, solar glass, and smart thermostats, boilers and bulbs) are just some of the development initiatives currently being pursued by businesses in the sector.

- Lastly, France enjoys a strong reputation for quality and reliability, which are especially important in the construction industry due to safety risks.

A strong presence in foreign markets
€7.1 billion are generated in exports. France tends to export top-quality, carefully designed, advanced technology products (innovative insulation materials, building facades that let in natural light, suspended ceilings, clay roof tiles, natural paints, decorative fireplaces, etc.).

The building and finishing work market in Lebanon represents 14% of GDP and as regards construction, it mainly depends on imports. USD 11 billion of promises of loans and donations were obtained by Lebanon from the international community at conclusion of the CEDRE Conference in April 2018, aimed at helping the country finance its multi-year development plan over the next 5 years.
This context is a strong signal for French companies wishing to do business with this country which has a strong development potential. The French delegation there attests to the large interest represented by the Lebanese market. The French exhibitors in the France Pavilion aim to establish or strengthen partnerships, and develop new collaborations with local professionals.
