MoI seizes four bags of counterfeit currency seven arrested

Department of Combating Economic and Electronic Crimes at the General Department of Criminal Investigation at the Ministry of Interior has arrested seven persons with four bags of counterfeit currency.

Six detainees are from Arab countries and one from a European country

Papers and other materials were also found in their possession that they used for cheating the victims by convincing them that they were converting the papers into counterfeit currency.

The officials seized the items in their possession after obtaining a search warrant from the department concerned.

The accused admitted the charges and they were sent for further legal actions.

The Ministry of the Interior has urged people to take caution while dealing with such scammers who make money through fraudulent practices.

The Ministry also asked people to report the Department of Combating Economic and Electronic Crimes if they come across such cases.
