(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, May 27: A 19-year-old Kuwaiti has been arrested and put behind bars at one of the police stations in Kuwait for allegedly verbally abusing, arguing and tearing the rank insignia and uniform of one of the police officers, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to a security source, three officers with different ranks lodged a complaint in one of the police stations against a youngster for insulting serviceman on duty.
This happened when the Kuwaiti was ordered to pull over for violating the traffic law and he started to verbally abuse them and tore off the uniform of one of them.
The suspect reported attempted to escape after committing the offence, but he was overpowered, arrested and taken to the police station. A charge of assaulting police on duty has been slapped against the man. His vehicle has been towed to the police garage pending investigation into the case.
