Special High Court sets date to hear case on Gota


(MENAFN- Leisure Plus) />The special court hearing cases of large scale financial fraud has decided to hear the case against former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa over the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum, on the 19th of June.


The Permanent High Court at Bar reached the decision when it convened today.


The Special High Court also granted permission for Rajapaksa to travel overseas from May 24th of 2nd June for medical reasons.


Rajapaksa was accused of misappropriating state funds amounting to Rs 49 million during the construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum and Memorial in Medamulana.
