196 migrants saved by Moroccan coast guards

(MENAFN) With their lives at risk, 169 undocumented migrants were saved in the Mediterranean Sea by the coast guards of Morocco.

A number of makeshift inflatable boats were carrying the illegal migrants, who came from Sub-Saharan African nations.

Morocco's military confirmed in a statement that after facing challenges, the immigrants were rushed to ports of Nador and Ksar-Sghir.

Last year, the Ministry of Interior revealed that the country did not allow 88,761 immigrants from departing the country.
