(MENAFN) Negotiations between the Sudanese Transitional Military Council (TMC) and the main opposition were confirmed to have recommenced.
In a statement, the TMC announced "the resumption of the negotiation with the Freedom and Change Alliance on Sunday."
It comes after the TMC decided on Thursday to impose a 72-hour halt on discussions with the major opposition.
Conditions were presented by the TMC for talks to resume, covering the elimination of barriers demonstrators placed outside a sit-in area.
