Palestine's PM: gov't prepared for Hamas reconciliation


(MENAFN) Government of the Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh is completely prepared to achieve reconciliation with Hamas.

Speaking to president of the Palestinian Elections Commission Hanna Nasser, the prime minister affirmed that his government has a conviction of elections being the single window for the division within Palestine to be eliminated.

According to Shtayyeh, "the Palestinian government and Palestinian movement Fatah are ready for reconciliation with [the Islamic resistance movement] Hamas."

He added "the division is a black chapter in our Palestinian history, and if our perspectives of reconciliation with Hamas are different, let the people decide through elections."
