Cambodia signs deal with Nepal on trade, investment cooperation


(MENAFN) A senior Cambodian official said Cambodia and Nepal have signed two pacts to enhance bilateral trade and investment.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and visiting Nepalese Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli led the signing ceremony after holding a bilateral meeting in Phnom Penh.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to work cooperate to enhance joint collaboration in all fields, especially in economics, trade, investment, tourism and culture.

Trade and investment volumes between the two countries are currently relatively small, while on the tourism side, about 3,100 Nepalese visitors travelled to Cambodia last year, a 10-percent increase year-on-year.
