England: blaze erupts in National Trust site

(MENAFN) The Trust declared that a raging fire, which is spreading into a National Trust site in north England, is mostly to have been triggered by a barbecue.

The blaze, which erupted Sunday night, covered 300 hectares of moorland, on Marsden Moor, near Huddersfield.

It has now expanded to Denshaw in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, according to local fire service.

There are 15 teams on site trying to battle the flames, with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service also drafting in water air support.
