Qatar- Ministry of Justice uses technology to streamline procedures


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The new advanced information system in the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has considerably reduced the time taken to complete transactions, whether it is through the MoJ service centres or the ministry's Sak portal.
Real estate sales transactions could be conducted through the MoJ's website and Sak application within 15 minutes.
Around 49% of transactions conducted through these systems were accomplished within such a time-frame in cases where all the documents submitted were complete and submitted in the proper way, to be authenticated by the relevant authorities, a statement noted.
On the other hand, the maximum time taken to conduct any such transaction through the above-mentioned systems was less than an hour.
This process, pertaining to the swift completion of transactions, comes in implementation of the instructions of HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr Issa Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi.
The minister had recently issued a decision to form a committee to develop information systems in the real estate registration and authentication department.
Public Prosecutor prepares lecture for school students on traffic law
The Public Prosecution has prepared a programme to educate school students about traffic law, which includes activities and lectures on the subject.
As part of the programme, the Public Prosecution organised an awareness lecture which was attended by 60 students and a number of specialists from secondary schools.
Turki Rashid al-Muhannadi, chief prosecutor for execution of judgments at the Public Prosecution, presented a lecture on the Public Prosecution, its objectives in the service of society and achieving speedy justice, in addition to a full explanation on the traffic law. The lecture also included discussion on obligations of the owner and driver of the vehicle as well as traffic ethics and traffic offences. (QNA)

Mercedes-Benz E-Class, S-Class and Maybach models recalled
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in co-operation with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, has announced the recall of Mercedes-Benz E-Class, S-Class and Maybach model of 2018 due to switches of seatbelt buckles not conforming to manufacturer's specifications.
The recall campaign comes within the framework of the Ministry's continuous efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
The ministry urges all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department.
