Nigeria: 27 Boko Haram militants die in clashes with soldiers


(MENAFN) Nigerian army declared that 27 Boko Haram militants have died in the most recent evacuation mission targeting routing remnants of the terror outfit along Nigeria-Cameroon borders.

Several arms and ammunition possessed by the terror group were seized and their gun trucks devastated by soldiers of Nigeria and Cameroon who jointly conducted the raid on Sunday.

Nigerian army spokesman Sagir Musa confirmed that the soldiers' clashes with the terrorists erupted in the northern part of Wulgo, Tumbuma, Chikun Gudu, and Bukar Maryam villages, all on the Nigerian side.

There were no reports on deaths on the part of the Nigerian and Cameroonian forces, according to Musa.
