ABU DHABI, 25th March, 2019 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, has said that 74 percent of the AED148.6-million internal road and infrastructure project at Al Shawamekh area for Sectors 1, 2, 4, 5, 9 and 10 is now complete. The project is being constructed in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and Abu Dhabi City Municipality over an area of 352.3 thousand square meters.
The company has affirmed that execution of these projects forms part its efforts to realize the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan towards providing high quality infrastructure that meets the needs of individuals and the community at large in line with best international standards, with the aim to improve the standard of living, enhance the sustainable development process and ensure happiness and well-being of the community. These projects receive the attention and close follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The project involves the design and construction of infrastructure to serve a total of 301 plots, including 241 residential, 7 religious, 10 parks, 3 general utilities, 3 government, 1 educational, 7 communications, 2 commercial and 28 service plots.
The project scope includes all infrastructure works, such as electricity, water and sanitation, communications, pavement and communications for all sectors, to properly serve the needs of the area population, as it will serve a wide segment of UAE nationals and residents at Al Shawamekh area.
In execution of these projects, Musanada also assured its adherence to eco-sustainability requirements in line with international standards by implementing best practices for preserving natural resources, protecting the environment and reducing energy consumption, besides ensuring that quality control procedures are followed during construction and using materials conforming with the specifications in line with the eco-sustainability international standards.
All infrastructure projects entrusted to Musanada are delivered according to highest international standards and as per the requirements of the concerned service providers, so as to achieve the objectives of Abu Dhabi Plan towards provision of sustainable infrastructure that serves the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its economy in line with best international standards as to make the Emirate of Abu Dhabi an international leader in this area.
