(MENAFN) A major baking soda project with an investment of about 1 billion yuan, was implemented on Friday in central China's Henan Province.
The project by Henan Zhongyuan Chemical Co. Ltd is expected to make 400,000 tons of baking soda every year, and create an annual revenue of 1 billion yuan.
The project is located in Henan's Tongbai County, often allocated the "capital of trona in China" for its rich deposit of the mineral.
It is expected to bring the annual production volume of baking soda in Tongbai to over 1.2 million tons, making the county one of the largest producer of baking soda globally.
