(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah attended and patronized Monday the graduation ceremony of the 45th batch of police cadets at the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences.
His Highness the Amir was received at the academy by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah and a number of top academy and ministry officials.
Present with His Highness the Amir during the ceremony were His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and President of the Supreme Judicial Council, chair of the Constitutional Court and Head of the Cassation Court Justice Yousef Jasem Al-Mutawa'a, senior state officials.
The event was attended by the families of the graduating cadets.
During the occasion, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior for Training and Education Major General Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah delivered a speech lauding His Highness the Amir and the Kuwaiti leadership for their endless support to the security corps in Kuwait.
The security official vowed that the new graduates will give it their all to maintain the security of the country under the guidelines set by His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
After the speech, the 45th batch of graduating officers handed in the academy's flag to the 46th batch.
Following the ceremony, His Highness the Amir began to hand in awards to the graduates.
His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince were also presented with commemorative shields from the academy. (end) tab.gta
