Israeli soldiers' gunfire wound 20 Palestinians during protests


(MENAFN) On Friday, as many as 20 Palestinians were wounded during clashes between hundreds of Palestinian protesters and Israeli soldiers in eastern Gaza Strip, near the border with Israel, medics stated.

Not less than 20 Palestinians, who were peacefully protesting in eastern Gaza Strip, were shot and injured by Israeli soldiers' gunfire, emphasized Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Health Ministry in Gaza, adding that two were seriously injured.

On Friday, violent clashes erupted between hundreds of Palestinian demonstrators and Israeli soldiers close to the border between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel.

The clashes were probable to flare for several hours, until it got dark at the end of the day, according to the rallies' arrangers.
