Needy families in Yemen receive food aid from Turkish Red Crescent


(MENAFN) The Turkish Red Crescent (Kizilay) provided families of orphan children in southern Yemen with 123 food packages.

Mustafa Aydin, head of Kizilay delegation, informed Anadolu Agency the food was part of assistance agency's support plan in the country.

"We want to alleviate to some extent the suffering of children who were orphaned during clashes that continue for more than four years in the country," affirmed Aydin.

He emphasized that Kizilay before distributed over 5,000 food packages in Yemen and said food aid programs covering provinces are scheduled in the coming months.
