Afghanistan's Ghani runs for presidential elections

(MENAFN) Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani announced his decision to compete for another term in the presidential elections.

July elections will also see the president's power-sharing CEO Abdullah Abdullah sharing the spotlight for the fight against presidency.

Both leaders submitted their candidacy documents with their suggested responsibilities as they run against each other to become the next president of Afghanistan.

Ghani also made former spy master Amrullah Saleh his recommended vice president instead of deputy Abdul Rasheed Dostum.
