S. Africa seeks to derail relations normalization: Rwanda

(MENAFN) South Africa has been making an effort to either postpone or prevent the process of normalization of bilateral ties with Rwanda.

The accusations against the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation were made in a statement the Rwandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued.

The statement voiced "serious concerns" via diplomatic channels over "consistent attempts" seeking to "delay or derail the course of normalization."

It added that it was alarmed over the "unfounded allegations" against Rwanda which were founded on "rumors and distortions propagated by Rwandan detractors based in Canada and South Africa, and media platforms associated with them."
