Ethiopia brings 450 nationals back from Saudi Arabia


(MENAFN) The Ethiopia Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) declared that it has brought back home 450 nationals from Saudi Arabia.

The Spokesperson Office of MoFA confirmed that the 450 Ethiopians who had been jailed in Saudi Arabia were brought back home in recent days after talks with Saudi authorities.

MoFA added that it's finishing preparations to bring 2,400 more Ethiopians in recent days, currently spending jail sentences in Saudi Arabia.

MoFA didn't state any details about the charges the Ethiopians have convicted of, however, in recent years thousands of unregistered Ethiopians have been gathered and imprisoned in Saudi Arabia, all indicted of illegal access.
