Israeli forces wound 11 Palestinians for take part in 19th maritime march


(MENAFN) Not less than 11 Palestinian protesters were wounded by Israeli gunfire off northern Gaza Strip's Beit Lahia shore, the Palestinian Health Ministry proclaimed Monday.

The ministry stated the protesters were wounded by Israeli live bullets during the 19th maritime march as part of the popular Palestinian demonstrations known as "the Marches of Return".

On Monday evening, lots of Palestinians organized a demonstration march along the Gaza-Israel maritime border to call for an end to Israel's decades-long occupation.

Since March 30, Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza have called for the right to return to their homes and villages in historical Palestine, from which they were forced to leave in 1948 to make way for the new state of Israel.
