Djibouti to host Eritrean president soon

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Djibouti's foreign minister stated that Eritrean President Isaias Afeworki will officially visit his country "soon".

Djibouti and Eritrea have been keeping high level links after Ethiopia's recommendation for a region-wide thaw was agreed across the board.

"We do't have a date yet, but the two presidents will exchange visits soon," Mahamoud Ali Youssouf told Anadolu Agency in an exclusive interview as he joined Ethiopian Day prearranged on the margins of the continuing 2nd Djibouti International Trade Fair.

He stated, "The two presidents met in September and I met my Eritrean counterpart. We will build on that momentum. Confidence should be built".
