Jordan welcomes Morocco's invitation for direct dialogue with Algeria


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Nov 9 (KUNA) -- Jordan welcomed an invitation by Moroccan King Mohammed VI to launch frank and direct dialogue with Algeria to break the existing impasse in relations and rebuild well-grounded ties based on fraternal solidarity and confidence, a statement by the foreign ministry said Friday.
Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi said "bridging differences between the two countries and turning over a new leaf of cooperation would further boost joint Arab solidarity, serve pan-Arab issues and overcome common challenges." Safadi highlighted the central role of both Algeria and Morocco in the framework of the joint Arab action system, what makes the positive interaction a necessity dedicated by the interests of the two brotherly countries, referring to King Mohammed's speech on the 43rd anniversary of the Green March.
The minister added Jordan's firm stance calling to support efforts on resolving Arab disagreements and building new mechanisms of effective cooperation among Arab states. (end) ab.mb
