(MENAFN) A local official declared that 11 people have died in strong tropical storms in Yemen"s eastern Mahra province.
Azzan al-Qumeiri, member of the local emergency committee confirmed that three corpses have been discovered after being drifted away by floods in various areas in provincial capital Al-Ghayza.
Emergency search operations are underway for 25 people, who were reported uncounted for since the beginning of the weather storm.
Mahra has been hit by raging winds and torrential downpours after Cyclone Luban landed in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Oman earlier this month.€ƒ
