Qatar- City Gym facilitates children with autism from Nomas Center

DOHA: City Gym and Nomas Center signed a memorandum of understanding yesterday for the training and development of children suffering from autism,at City Gym's new facility - TADDAC (Training and Development of Differently Abled Children) Centre in Bin Omran.

The memorandum aims to provide free of cost special care to children from Nomas Center at TADDAC Center. Children will be accompanied by their guardians and will be admitted in two batches of 20 each and will be trained for 3 months.

They will be trained for their mental, physical and emotional development by certified and experienced professional trainers who are good in taking care of these kids.

Ahmad Al Kuwari, Assistant Director at Nomas Center signed MoU on behalf of Nomas Centre and Adel Hilal Al Enzi, Chairman of City Gym, on behalf of City Gym Group. The occasion was also graced by the presence of Ahmed Reyad Qarut, Secretary of Nomas Centre, managers and staff of City Gym Group.

During the MoU signing event, Anil Kumar V Pillai, Managing Director of City Gym Group, told The Peninsula 'Through this charity initiative, we are trying to give something back to the Qatar's community for the opportunities of employment and business received from this great nation. We are doing this free of cost as these kids are special gift from God and it is our duty to take care of them in the best possible manner.

'Currently we have four trainers and two lady trainers. Among these trainers three of them have experience in this field. We are also inviting an expert from Mumbai to train our staff. We are planning to have 20 children in each group and the Center will provide them mental, physical and emotional training in a very safe environment. During the training sessions parents and caretakers are allowed to join them to assist, Anil added.

During the event, TADDAC Center was formally inaugurated by the Chairman of City Gym group and Nomas Centre officials. Ahmad Al Kuwari, Assistant Director at Nomas Center said: 'We are very happy to join hands with City Gym. This training center is one of its kind in Qatar; we hope other gyms also open doors for such special children. W are planning to expand center In coming years, we will open new branches of centers for children.
