Israel decries Gaza rocket strikes

(MENAFN) The Israeli military denounced the launch of the two rockets at Israel early Wednesday, describing it as "a severe incident."

Israel's military spokesperson Jonathan Conricus confirmed Gaza rebels to have launched a rocket on Beersheba and another on Gush Dan.

The Israeli spokesperson suggested that merely organizations in Gaza have these types of rockets, Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The head of international media branch at the military's spokesperson's unit stressed: that it "very much narrows it down to who is behind it."

Conricus added: "Hamas bares full responsibility for this attack," stressing that Hamas is "creating and enabling an environment of terror and violence along the security fence as we have seen over the last months."
