(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- H E Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu'amani, Minister of Royal Office, visited the Land Troops Command participating in Al Shomoukh 2 and Swift Sword 3 military exercises.
Maj Gen Matar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (Commander of the Joint Forces) and commander of the land troops participating in the exercises, received H E Gen Nu'amani.
H E Gen Nu'amani witnessed the military capabilities and the field deployment mechanism. He also listened to a comprehensive summary of the military plans, the tasks and duties carried out within the ground operations theatre as well as the plans and preparations for the subsequent stages of the exercise.
H E Gen Nu'amani also inspected modern military equipment used by the Royal Army of Oman during the exercise. The equipment bears witness to the development and modernisation in the Sultan's Armed Forces under the glorious reign of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
