(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Feb. 14 (Petra) - Violent clashes early Wednesday erupted between Palestinian students and Israeli occupation forces in Dura town, near the West Bank city of Hebron.
A statement by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that Israeli occupation troops stormed Al-Shorfa area in the central part of the town and forced their way into a number of the houses belonging to the Ebreyoush family, causing confrontations with the students.
During the clashes Israeli soldiers fired toxic tear gas canisters, leaving dozens of the students suffocated, the statement added.
