Riyadh, Dhu-Al-Qa'dah 17, 1438, August 09, 2017, SPA -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani met at his office in Riyadh today with the United Nations envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Al-Cheikh Ahmed.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest political, security and humanitarian developments in Yemen, including the efforts being exerted by the UN envoy to Yemen to restore the political process in Yemen according to the GCC initiative, outcomes of the national dialogue conference and UN resolution No. 2216.
For his part, the UN envoy briefed the GCC secretary general on the details of the initiative he is offering as regards Al-Hodeida port.
The meeting was attended by a number of GCC senior officials.
