Palestinian President Meets ICC over Israeli War Crimes

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met last night with the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to hand prosecutors a file documenting Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, including ethnic cleansing and extra-judicial executions.
The move follows a spate of recent violence, which has seen 60 Palestinians and nine Israelis killed. Between 1 and 26 October, 6,445 Palestinians have been injured by Israeli forces.
Palestinian Liberation Organization Secretary General, Saeb Erekat said a 52-page report was to be given to court officials on Friday. In a statement, Erekat said it contains details of "summary executions, collective punishments, house demolitions and ethnic cleansing". He added that it "gathers all the information on the Palestinian martyrs and their identities, the way in which they were executed, and is backed by verified photos and videos." Earlier, the Palestinian President held talks with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and discussed latest developments of the Palestinian issue in light of the recent Israeli escalation.
