Kuwait- KSE indices maintain upward slant for 4th week

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The three main indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended last week trading in the green zone thus maintaining their positive performance for the fourth week running. Intensive buying activity relating mainly to the leading stocks pushed the indices up, according to the weekly market report issued here on Saturday by Bayan Investment Co. KSE Weighted Index and Kuwait-15 were higher than the Price Index in the previous week before the more capital was pumped to the market through the active purchase of stocks of smaller companies. The market saw across-the-board gains last week when the stocks at one of the trading sessions hit an eight-month record high, the report said, referring to the session of March 21, 2012. The strong performance of the listed-stocks last week was driven by the confidence and optimism of investors towards the outlook of the market, it added.
