(MENAFN- Arab Times) An Egyptian expatriate was detained recently for possession of 20 cartons of liquor bottles on Chalet Road.
According to security sources, while police were patrolling on Chalet Road, they suspected a half lorry and requested the driver to stop.
Their suspicions were roused when the driver appeared nervous and they checked the half-lorry to find 200 bottles of liquor in 20 cartons.
During interrogations, he confessed that he was transporting the cartons of liquor to a chalet in Al-Zour.
The suspect was referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
