Iran's exports of petrochemical goods reach USD11b


(MENAFN) Iran's National Petrochemical Company's (NPC) managing director, Abdolhossein Bayat, said that during the first 9 months of Iran's current calendar year (ended Nov. 21), the country's exports of petrochemical products reached around USD11 billion, reported Tehran Times. Bayat added that at the end of the current year, Iran's petrochemical exports would be forecasted to reach USD14 billion in terms of value, with products exported to more than 60 countries. He also said that last year, Iran managed to export 18 million tons of petrochemical products, valued at USD11.6 billion, with an increase of 26 percent compared to two years earlier. It is worth noting that in the last Iranian calendar year, Iran produced more than 40 million tons of petrochemical goods.
