America's First Comprehensive Residential Community Devoted to Transitioning Veterans to be Built in San Antonio

(MENAFNEditorial) Valor Club development will be designed to meet the special needs of Veterans and their families SAN ANTONIO, TX - Plans for what could be the model of future communities focusing on transitioning Veterans and their families were unveiled at a meeting of the San Antonio City Council. The Valor Club which will cover over 200 acres will be built on a site just five miles southeast of downtown San Antonio.

The $225 million project will be the largest comprehensive 'one stop shopping for transitioning veteran needs ever implemented.

The project will eventually offer beautifully designed, constructed, and affordable residential housing including apartments and single-family homes; health and fitness and competitive sports facilities; retail stores; an entertainment complex; bike trail; and a newly designed nine-hole golf course with many of the amenities open to the public. Additionally, counseling, education, and job training services focused on the needs of transitioning Veterans and their families will be offered on-site.

'We're thrilled to be making this announcement and unveiling our plans, said Dan Pedrotti, Jr. founder and partner of The Valor Club whose a long-time expert in real estate development and finance. He has spent the last six years pursuing his dream of a residential community solely focused on this important segment of society.

Live, Play & Thrive is the cornerstone of The Valor Club philosophy, Pedrotti noted. 'It reflects our belief that by providing transitioning Veterans and their families a safe, accessible, affordable, and dignified place to live; access to education and workforce training; and the opportunity to integrate sports and fitness into their lives, that they will ultimately thrive in their civilian lives.

'The amount of research we've conducted and utilized concerning Veterans, transitioning Veterans and their families is unprecedented, observed Irwin Jay Deutch, managing director of The Valor Club who has 35+ years experience in residential development and finance. 'We wanted to ensure our proposed community truly reflected their genuine wants and needs. We left nothing to conjecture every segment of the development is based on real input and data.

Many of the top resources on Veterans were integral to the research. These included: The U.S. Census Bureau; The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics; The U.S. Department of Defense; The Texas State Data Center; and likely the most definitive source of Veterans information, The University of Southern California Center For Innovation and Research On Veterans and Military Families.

Additionally to ensure the accuracy of what was being proposed The Valor Club developers conducted several focus group research studies. 'This really gave us the ultimate insight we were able to hear first-hand what Veterans really thought, wanted and needed as they transition into civilian living, related transitioning Veterans Specialist Bill Deutch. A consultant to The Valor Club and creator/producer of the nationally syndicated TV show 'Hiring America which focuses on Veterans. 'It really validated the elements we were proposing.

More than 153,000 Veterans reside locally. Including their family members, the number swells to more than 250,000 people. It's one of the many reasons San Antonio is officially known as 'Military City, USA.

Accolades for the development have come from many professional and diverse sources. 'The project is critical to the future welfare of military families within our great city, observed Jeff Wells, president of WISH For Our Heroes. 'It should have all our heartfelt support.

The Valor Club team believes formal ground breaking will be late summer 2018.
