Earthquake startles off Nicaragua's coast


(MENAFN) The US Geological Survey declared that an earthquake of 5.6 magnitude has startled the Pacific off the coast of Nicaragua.

The quake was recorded nearly 165 kilometers west-northwest of the capital of Managua, and 64 kilometers west of the town of Chinandega.

The earthquake took place about 8:30 p.m. Monday, hitting nearly 46 kilometers deep in the ground.

No damages or victims have been informed about till now.
