Moroccan BOA to boost ties with China in new branch plan
(MENAFN) The Moroccan BMCE Bank of Africa (BOA) was revealed in reports to be establishing a new branch within Shanghai in China, with a probability to be opened in September.
The move is to further boost ties, seeing as the bank has already enjoyed strong relations with China in inking deals that include constructing an industrial park in northern Morocco, along with the establishment of a major skyscraper in Rabat.
The Moroccan bank and the China Development Bank have signed a memorandum of understanding for the development of bilateral trade and investment.
The objective behind the agreement was said to be enhancing cooperation in various fields, such as investment and trade, transport, infrastructure, and development initiatives.
