Qatar- Birla Public School observes World Hindi Day

Birla Public School (BPS), Doha organised ‘Vishwa Hindi Diwas' (World Hindi Day) in collaboration with Embassy of India, Doha and Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) at Basant Kumar Birla Auditorium.

An ‘Inter-school Extempore' was held for participants from various Indian schools in Doha.

Other events like recitation (Kavita Paath), handwriting and slogan writing were also held for different categories.

The students emphasized the importance of Hindi through vibrant cultural programmes consisting of Skits, Songs and Dance performances. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of teachers too.

'We may excel in any language, but Hindi must remain an eternal binding force said Hemant Dwivedi, the First Secretary of the Embassy of India in Qatar.

The school magazine in Hindi 'Udaan was also released during the celebrations.

The Principal of Birla Public School, Qatar, A P Sharma, read out the message of the Prime Minister of India and motivated students on importance of Hindi, national language (rajbhasha).
