Turkey moving additional military equipment to Syrian border

Turkey is moving additional military equipment to the province of Hatay on the border with Syria, Turkish media reported Dec. 19 quoting military sources.

Turkish Armed Forces on the border with Syria have been put on full combat readiness.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Turkey doesn't rule out a new military operation against the YPG (Kurdish People's Protection Units) and the PYD (Kurdish Democratic Union Party) in the Syrian city of Afrin.

It was also reported that the Turkish Armed Forces are fully ready for operations in Afrin.

The start of operations in Afrin is a matter of time, said the reports.
