Tewkesbury pipe burst: water supply confirmed to have been restored

(MENAFN) Following a pipe burst in Tewkesbury, England, that led 10,000 household and businesses to be denied of water supplies for over 48 hours, water has lastly been restored.

Even though repairs of the broken main remain underway, Severn Trent confirmed that water had been moved around its network in diverse ways.

Sarah Bentley of Severn Trent stated "we're really sorry for the disruption that's been caused as a result of this burst, we know it's been really difficult for our customers to be without water. The pipe that burst is one of the largest in our network and was located in a flooded field so restoring supplies has been really challenging. We worked extremely hard to move water around our network and we used tankers to bring extra water in too."
