North Korea pursuing a defecting soldier violated UN Armistice agreement
(MENAFN) The UN Command declared on Tuesday that the United Nations Armistice agreement has been abused twice by North Korea the moment it pursued and shot at a soldier who attempted to defect to South Korea.
The incident has been caught on a video recording which was released by the UN Command office, as a proof of the violation.
The footage shows the defecting soldier driving across the Military Demarcation Line (MDL), the land border between North and South Korea. The soldier then leaves his vehicle before soldiers of North Korea pierce him with bullets as he carries on walking on foot aiming for the South.
