Jordan- Cold conditions to persist for three days


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan.22(Petra) -- Relatively cold conditions are expected to continue in the hilly areas, the Badia regions and the eastern plains, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Gulf of Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

According to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), light variable winds are also forecast with clouds at high altitudes and frost formation after midnight in the hilly areas and parts of the desert regions.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern regions will range between a high of 12 degrees Celsius and a low of 4, in southern parts they will register 11 degrees, dipping to zero degree at night. Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will reach 21 degrees, going down to 10 at night, the JMD added.

Temperatures will slightly rise on Tuesday, but similar cold conditions are expected to remain with high altitude clouds and southeasterly moderate to brisk winds, it added.
