FiLLi Cafe set to open first flagship store in Qatar

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) FiLLi Café, a renowned service provider in the beverages industry, is all set to make its grand entry into Qatar with a flagship store opening. The new outlet will be located on Salwa Road, adjacent to Quality Hypermarket & Masraf Al Rayan.
In Qatar, FiLLi functions through a franchise model, which has been in the planning since 2011. The first franchise was awarded to the TGIR Group in Qatar, which was established by a group of food connoisseurs with the aim of introducing fresh and novel food concepts into Qatar.
Speaking about the new endeavour, Fazil Hameed, the director of TGIR said, 'There are loads of FiLLi Tea lovers in Qatar! Many of them make it a point to have FiLLi tea whenever they visit Dubai. We wanted to bring FiLLi Café to Qatar in a big way. That prompted us to take this place as our anchor store where our customers can relax, feel at home and enjoy the signature FiLLi Zafrani Tea. We will soon be opening our second shop in Messaieed, inside Woqod Petrol Station, by mid-January 2017. Another five stores are planned in different locations, set to open over the next three years."
Rafih FiLLi, the Founder and CEO of FiLLi Tea, said, 'In the beverage industry, tea wasn't given as much important as coffee. Cafés were only meant for Coffee. The concept of conversing over a cup of tea didn't exist. This was one of the biggest challenge in the journey of FiLLi. We ensured that we gave our customers the ambience where they could come and chat for hours over a cup of tea!.
'We are happy to partner with TGIR Group in Qatar as our first franchise partner. We value our partnership. TGIR has shared our passion for the brand and its concept. There was lot of synergy in our partnership, he added.
FiLLi Café was founded by Rafih FiLLi in 1991. The establishment that had earnest beginnings as a small single store at Mamzar Beach in Dubai, has now grown to become a renowned brand with 28 stores across the UAE. In the UAE alone, FiLLi sells over than 40000 cups of tea a day.
